Flander's Fields

I love scraffito It was so much fun to do. This piece was made by building up the form (the oval shape vase) then building the few 3-d poppies (the three on the left side) then I painted the whole thing black and then scratched my design into it. Then once it was fired for the first time, I put a really watered down red onto it and then glazed it

The design is poppies on the front and then the poem "flanders fields" by John McCrae

Materials Used: Clay, Black speedball underglaze, and red speedball underglaze, and speedball glaze
